And last day of Autumn.
Though really I think the weather got confused and winter started a few weeks ago - so good thing we just got insulation! Although, even though the guys installed the batts properly, they left such a freakin mess. I wouldn't have left insulation rubbish, plastic, masks and dirt all down the hallway, stuffed crap in gutters so they overflow now when it rains, with a few cigarette butts on the back lawn thrown in there too, but maybe that's just me. They also took a few good chunks out of the walls with their ladder dancing, so I'm glad we haven't painted yet.
Aaanyway, this is what I'm working on this morning:
Bug #2. I will finish it and post it soon, then I might wait til tomorrow morning to post my other Saturday art fun.
It's going to have a huge moth on it - one that just landed on my hand one night, so I was slowly walking through the house to try and get to my camera to get a photo of it before it flew off.
I used those Adirondack Alcohol Inks for the background, because I couldn't get the brighter purple that I wanted in the Distress Inks that I had. And StazOn ink for the circles - hopefully that means they won't seep up through the coloured pencils.
I'm pretty impressed with the staying power of the alcohol ink. Just check out my paint brush now:
Hey, it still works.
