This should be a bit more vibrant, but I've been messing around in Photoshop for too long trying to get the scan right, so I'm just going to leave it! But you kinda get the idea from the last post. I used to shy away from red, but now I love it! It's interesting how your tastes change... Maybe I should just use whichever colours I think I don't like, from now on, just to see what happens.
I picture the two hanging a little offset on the wall - like this:
And I really did have fun painting these. Me - who doesn't usually like painting. (Or should I say love painting?) I guess you all knew that I'd end up getting into it. I was just the last one to figure it out. Well laa di daa - you told me so.
I'm even going to be painting again tomorrow afternoon. Something a little more tame though - that dainty little she-wren. Then I'm going to throw in some coloured pencil too for some good measure.
So now that I've finished the fish, I've got three more pieces on the go. I'd like to finish them all by the end of the week. And knock out the wren and a good chunk of the second one tomorrow.
It'll be a late update. But hopefully a good one with new things to show.
...will be looking a bit different by then! G'night!
