A few months ago I had this lovely notion that November 1st would be the perfect day to open an Etsy shop. But then October happened, and I've found that I have a wonderful knack for making plans with the worst possible timing. (And like so many of us, I seem to have this idea that there are far more than 24 hours in a day.)
If you have been reading this blog for a while, you would know that I had an Etsy shop quite some time ago, and you may have noticed that I pretty much just let it fizzle into non-existence. The place that I was relying on for my prints went from wonderful to completely unreliable, and rather than finding a different print shop, I just got grouchy and gave up on the whole thing. (Very mature, yes?)
But I am feeling far more positive now! There's no point in creating all these little artworks if they are only to sit on my own shelves getting dusty, and I'm finding that I need an outlet for all the crafty ideas that are swirling in my head.
I had to take a sneaky photo of these leaves at least (with my favourite tiny-pencil-scale) - they will be making an appearance in my soon-to-be shop. But for now, it is back to the mystery painting for me. It is to be on the gallery wall on Friday, which is not very far away at all!
